The cooperative is working on engineering and easement work; a grant has been approved for installation west of Highway 51, a downtown-area grant is pending, and the golf-course area is already served and not eligible for grants. The cooperative expects completion by 2026 and plans an informational meeting in September; RSVP invitations will be sent.
Village Clerk Leslie Yambert attended a BEAD webinar on July 12 to learn about the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program. The minutes do not record dates for the September informational meeting or the full scope of the pending grant, but they note ongoing coordination between the village and the cooperative.
