The Village of Mapleton Board of Trustees voted Sept. 11 to trade in the village lawnmower and pay $1,000 toward a replacement. Trustee Rodney Smith moved to approve the trade-in; Trustee Bill Hodges seconded the motion and the roll-call vote recorded approval by the trustees present.
Rodney Smith said the current mower could be traded in for $1,000, that the vendor would sell the existing machine for $10,250, and that it had 53 hours of use. The board approved the purchase as a routine equipment replacement; the motion was recorded in the minutes and entered as a roll-call vote.
