Union City Borough Council voted to spend $39,060.20 in ARPA funds to address stormwater repairs in Municipal Lot #1 and Hogan’s Alley. Councilor Joyce moved the spending motion and Councilor Steadman seconded; the motion "carried unanimously."
Borough Manager Cindy Wells told council the borough’s ARPA total is $194,413 and noted $160,000 had been designated toward the Willow Street Bridge, with $25,000 already spent. Wells described the stormwater work as repairs and closing off a catch basin that produced the $39,060.20 cost; council approved using ARPA to cover that specific expense.
