Council approved a retroactive motion to purchase a portion of property from 8 South Street for $500 to expand Municipal Lot #3 and support a planned gazebo project. The property will be surveyed and the solicitor will complete the purchase paperwork; the motion by Councilor Joyce, seconded by Councilor Kerns, carried unanimously.
Separately, council agreed to change regular meeting dates beginning in September through April 2025 to the first and third Mondays at 6:30 P.M. to accommodate scheduling; the next meeting was set for Aug. 27, 2024, and because of Labor Day the following meeting will be Sept. 16, 2024.
