The Board of Adjustment unanimously approved a variance May 27 to allow towing and recovery operations (no auto repair) at 85 Ledge Road for McNutt, LLC. The applicant said cars would be taken to Towle Farm Road and that Ledge Road would be used primarily as an office or storage staging area; the record notes the space is currently used for storage. The motion passed with conditions forbidding storage of vehicles on site, hazardous materials, on-site repairs or living, and forbidding towing cars to that facility.
Board members briefly questioned whether state rules might affect the proposal; one member raised a concern about state-level permission but the board nonetheless voted to approve after finding the variance criteria satisfied. The written notice of decision was appended to the meeting record and requires compliance before a building permit is issued.
