During public comment Ann Lindsay of Life Plan Humboldt provided a design and timeline update for Humboldt Commons. She said the Future Residents Priority List has a $1,000 deposit and described Phase 1 as 121 units, with RCH building 50 residences targeted to income‑qualified seniors. Lindsay said construction is expected to begin in early 2027 with move-ins anticipated in early 2029.
Lindsay also described local fundraising and community support—Ace Hardware customers contributed approximately $2,500 via round-up donations and a fundraising event is planned at Fieldbrook Winery—and noted the project is in design development. Committee members did not vote on any project action during the meeting.
