The Porterville Unified School District Board of Trustees voted June 25 to extend Superintendent Nate Nelson's employment contract for one year following a closed-session performance evaluation.
In open session President Lillian Durbin reported the board had taken action in closed session on the superintendent's evaluation. Mrs. Donna Berry moved to extend the contract and Mr. Felipe Martinez seconded; "Motion carried; all six members present voting aye," the minutes record. The action was announced after the board reconvened at 4:30 p.m.
