DFD water work expected finished by August; town to request lifting of water moratorium

Town Manager Rob Gaiotti said DFD water work under contract 2 with Casella in the village is forecast to finish by August and is expected to come in about 10% under budget. He said the DFD anticipates requesting the State lift the water moratorium, which would permit new connections and allocations.
Gaiotti also reported on highway work, citing planned paving of Raptor Lane and the Danby Mountain hill section, and noted vehicle maintenance and higher winter highway costs that will pressure the overall budget. The board approved payroll and accounts payable for the week and adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
