Town to refocus East Dorset traffic-calming plan on road narrowing, curbs and landscaping

Select Board members heard that staff will adjust the East Dorset Route 7 traffic-calming plan to emphasize road narrowing, curb installation and village landscaping rather than a separate multiuse path, a change intended to reduce project costs. Staff said the revised scope will be discussed with MSK and then presented to VTrans to explore whether elements could be included in an upcoming paving project.
Staff also reported that signage to extend a No Parking zone and to reflect a speed-limit change on Route 30 should be installed soon. Engineering review of an unrelated Upper Hollow driveway design remains pending.
