Medford City Manager reports pool, park and infrastructure updates; pool set to open May 25

City Manager Dea Mandevill provided operations updates during the May 13 meeting, saying the pool is being filled and lifeguard certification will occur the coming weekend. Mandevill noted the pool and mini‑golf are scheduled to open May 25 and reported progress on the Palmer Loft staircase repairs worked on by John Crocker and Al Guasta.
Mandevill also told council that maintenance crews have been addressing drainage issues after rain, pouring concrete under benches and planning shade installations, that tree pickup will begin this week, and that $5,540 was raised for the Margie Cink fundraiser. A new feature has been added to the Lions Park tot lot; additional improvements are forthcoming.
