The Medford City Council voted May 13 to declare the decorative holiday wreaths that formerly hung on streetlight poles surplus and to put them up for sale. The motion, made by Mayor Gary Bowen and seconded by Steve Zeman, passed with all four members voting Yes (Knigge, Zeman, Bowen, England).
At the same meeting the council also declared old cafeteria tables surplus and approved making them available free on a first‑come, first‑served basis, disposing of any not taken. Vice‑Mayor Steve Zeman moved the cafeteria‑table action, seconded by Mayor Bowen; the motion carried 4–0. Both actions were routine property‑management decisions recorded early in the meeting.
