Commissioners approve widespread Children & Youth contract increases; Pathways addendum sets $1,950/day level of care
Summary
The board approved contract changes across roughly two dozen providers in the Children & Youth services portfolio, including percentage increases across foster, residential and medical levels and an addendum for Pathways Adolescent Center establishing a $1,950 per-day rate for a specialized placement; staff said federal and state coverage limits county exposure to roughly 20% for that placement.

Jamie Ryber presented a long list of Children & Youth contracts and addenda, describing rate increases across many providers and one addendum to the Pathways Adolescent Center contract to add a level of care required for one youth, priced at $1,950 per day.
Ryber said most program costs for the Pathways placement are covered by the child's medical coverage and that the county expects federal funding to help, estimating the county would be responsible for about 20% of the cost. Commissioners praised staff for finding a placement and approved the contract package by voice vote.
