Committee tables redevelopment plan amendment affecting Block 159, Lot 8
Summary
Ordinance 1063, proposing to add Block 159, Lot 8 to Sub Area 1 of the 2009 Redevelopment Plan and amend the zoning map, was tabled to Dec. 18, 2024 and referred back to the Planning Board for further review.
The Committee opened the public hearing on ORDINANCE 1063, which would amend the adopted 2009 Carneys Point Redevelopment Plan to include Block 159, Lot 8 into Sub Area 1 and incorporate specific use and bulk standards, and would amend the township zoning map. Mr. Bomba moved to table the ordinance until December 18; the motion carried unanimously.
Township Planner Candace Kanaplue explained the Planning Board requested additional review after an address change and other revisions were made; the ordinance is being referred back to the Planning Board for that review. The tabling preserves the Board’s opportunity to examine site-specific standards and to recommend map amendments before the Committee takes further action.
