The Carneys Point Township Committee on Nov. 18 approved several administrative measures, including a tax cancellation and refund for a resident certified as a 100% total disabled veteran. The committee approved Resolution 2024-212 to cancel $1,842.07 in taxes and refund $5,703.62 for overpaid taxes (motion by Mr. Bomba; second by Mr. Brown). The minutes record unanimous approval on that resolution.
The committee also approved two personnel hires: Resolution 2024-213 appointed Patrick J. Riley as a part-time, as-needed booking clerk and Resolution 2024-214 appointed Vanessa M. Lindsay to the same part-time, as-needed position. Both appointments passed on motions by Mr. Bomba, seconded by Mrs. Shaw, with unanimous votes. The body also approved Resolution 2024-215 to transfer $65,000 within the 2024 budget (motion by Mr. Bomba; second by Mrs. Shaw), which passed unanimously.
At the start of the meeting the committee approved audited vouchers totaling $207,292.92 and the October committee reports.
