WestCOG members elected two at-large members to the Executive Committee during the March 19 meeting. New Canaan First Selectman Dionna Carlson and Brookfield First Selectman Steve Dunn were elected after a motion by New Milford Mayor Pete Bass and a second by Redding First Selectwoman Julia Pemberton.
The action was recorded in the minutes as unanimous. Executive Director Francis Pickering had provided an overview of the election process before the motion. The election fills the at-large seats as described in the meeting packet and the new members will serve on the executive committee alongside existing officers.
