Fire Chief Mahoney updated the Ross Valley Fire Department Board of Directors on staffing and capital projects. He said two firefighter applicants were offered conditional job offers with expected start dates in May and July, and that Phase 2 of Fire Station 20 has begun, including hardscaping in front of the station and installation of an accessibility ramp; that project is expected to be completed in May.
Mahoney also reported Fire Station 21 remodel work is due to go out to bid next week and that the last few months have been quiet for major incidents. He noted a structure fire in Fairfax was extinguished quickly with no injuries. The chief's verbal report was delivered as part of the regular chief's report on the agenda (SEG 006).
