Fire chief reports new paramedic hire expected and Station 21 remodel under way

Fire Chief Mahoney told the Ross Valley Fire Department Board on June 10 that the department expects to fill its last vacant position when a Firefighter‑Paramedic starts "by July 1." He also reported that the Fire Station 21 remodel project has broken ground and that the completion date is estimated to be in December. Director Coler and others thanked the crew for a recent roof‑covering effort after an unexpected rain event; Chief Mahoney named Captain Pastalka, Engineer Jamotte and Firefighter‑Paramedic Ferguson, along with RVPA Medics Rasmussen and Buscovich, for the response.
