The South Weber Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat for the Boren Subdivision at its Aug. 14, 2025 meeting, allowing one 1.4‑acre single‑family lot to be divided from an existing 13.55‑acre parcel near 7590 S. 1375 E. Community Development Manager Lance Evans told the commission the parcel is zoned Agricultural and that City Engineer Brandon Jones had reviewed and approved the preliminary plat.
Evans said a rezone was not required because the proposed lot meets the city's one‑acre minimum density for the zoning. The motion to approve the preliminary plat was moved and seconded; Commissioners Marty McFadden, Chris Roberts and Chad Skola voted aye and the motion carried. The applicant is Oaklie Boren; the lot will be assigned a specific address as the subdivision process continues.
