She listed staff members she said were unresponsive when she sought records and asked commissioners for specific answers about which deployments remain unreimbursed, when paperwork was submitted, and who accounted for backfill costs.
The commenter also alleged the county's helicopter program has consistently lost money and provided a figure for the first half of 2026, saying it had an excess of more than $700,000 of expenses over revenues in the first six months and that the program is "on track to lose 1.5 to $2,000,000 this year." She asked what consequences would follow for staff and questioned continued participation in the state task force given the claimed recordkeeping failures.
County officials did not provide a detailed response during the meeting. The EMS presenter reminded the court staff are limited in what they can say in that moment, and the judge ended the commenter’s allotted time when it expired.
