Staff said they had asked CentOS for a copy of the five-year contract and were exploring ways to shorten or exit the contract; meanwhile they changed a vendor schedule from weekly to monthly and adjusted Iron Mountain pickups from monthly to quarterly to save "just over $1,100 a year." "I did change our schedule from weekly to monthly, so we will be billed less," staff said. Staff also said they were getting bundled phone/Internet quotes to reduce costs further.
On audit timing, staff said the state auditor will hold a session on June 11 at 2 p.m. to present preliminary findings for the 2022–24 audit window; staff noted that if two or fewer council members attend it need not be advertised, but if more attend it will be a publicly‑noticed meeting. Staff said they would notify the auditor which council members planned to attend.
