Board ratifies educators’ contract and raises employee benefits cap to $22,000

The Round Valley Joint Elementary School District Board of Trustees on April 16 ratified a collective bargaining agreement with the Round Valley Educators Association that takes effect July 1, 2025.
Board President Jeff Perry moved the contract ratification; the motion carried on a recorded voice vote with three ayes and no noes. The board also completed the required public disclosure of the agreement under AB1200, AB2756, Government Code Section 3547.5 and CCR Title V Section 15549.
In linked action the board approved an increase in the district’s health and welfare benefit cap from $19,000 to $22,000 for eligible staff, also effective July 1, 2025. The motions were recorded as: Motion Mr. Perry; Seconded Mr. Sandoval; Ayes 3; Noes 0. Superintendent and district negotiator Danielle Torrance was listed as the district negotiator for the bargaining process.
President Jeff Perry also took a moment to thank staff for recent programs, singling out cafeteria director Mrs. Peek for the “Art of Cooking Class.”
