Staff reported that Well No. 6 is currently offline because of an electrical fault that previously produced an 'air code,' and presented a manufacturer (Eaton) quote to evaluate the equipment and determine whether it can be put back into service. "Well 6 is currently offline and has been for a while," the staff member said, noting Eaton will either give the equipment a clean bill of health or identify needed repairs.
Council asked about scheduling and next steps. Staff said Eaton's visit would be subject to the manufacturer's schedule but that city staff would confirm paperwork and move as quickly as the vendor's availability allows. Staff recommended approval so the city can get the well back online and then monitor the pump for any issues after the electrical problem is addressed.
