The board adopted an updated administrative and personnel policy book after HR staff and counsel reviewed and incorporated Liebert Cassidy Whitmore model policies and legal updates. HR staff prepared a crosswalk enumerating existing policies versus proposed changes, identified six new policies, and shared the draft with the labor union for review and comment; the HR committee recommended adoption.
Board members and HR committee members praised Christina Winicki’s work aligning the policies and engaging labor. The board voted in favor to adopt the policy book. Staff said the update supports internal consistency, labor engagement, and a district award application for organizational distinction.
