Superintendent reports peer awards, ski program and upcoming ICOE speech contest

Superintendent Danielle Torrance updated the board on recent and upcoming events. She reported the Peer Awards were held Dec. 20, 2024; the RVJESD Ski Program begins Jan. 14, 2025, weather permitting; the ICOE Speech Contest is scheduled for Feb. 12, 2025; and the next board meeting is set for Feb. 19, 2025.
Board Vice President Andrea Johle publicly thanked outside partners for support of student programming: "Mrs. Johle expressed appreciation to Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation for the Ski Grant and Alterra Mountain Company for working with the local schools and providing great instructors and a positive experience for students." Mr. Jeff Perry and RVS administration echoed those sentiments. No action was required on these items; they were presented as informational updates.
