Supervisor reports tribal trail talks, jail mental-health wing groundbreaking and Measure B grant savings

Supervisor Haschak updated the council on multiple county projects and intergovernmental outreach. He said officials are meeting with the Hopland tribe and other tribes along the proposed trail to seek agreements that work for all communities. He reported that the mental-health wing for the jail has broken ground and that "5150s will be eligible for that facility."
Haschak also told the council that Measure B bids were lower than anticipated and that an additional $9 million grant reduced the county's expected share of the project cost. He said he intends to bring a Board of Supervisors agenda item on cannabis density and welcomed feedback from Round Valley residents.
