Beyer said the library will run a February-only "Digital Equity Get Connected" weekly giveaway, raffling items such as a laptop, iPad, fitness watch, or gift card using digital equity grant funds.
Beyer also said the library offers a relaxed, beginner-friendly Spanish class every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., welcoming participants of all ages; she noted an 87-year-old student is participating. The public comment emphasized the library's role in digital-skills and equity efforts over the winter months.
Council did not take action on the library remarks; the comments were recorded as part of the public comment period.
