The Maroa-Forsyth C.U.S.D. 2 School Board on July 8 approved new pay rates for substitute teachers and extracurricular bus drivers for the 2025–26 school year.
Under the approved motion, substitute teachers will be paid $120 per day, retired teachers serving as substitutes will receive $150 per day, and the extracurricular bus-driving rate is set at $25 per hour. The motion to adopt those rates was made by Lidy and seconded by Parker. The roll-call vote carried 5–0; board member Conway did not vote on that item because of a stated conflict of interest.
Board members said the change sets clear compensation for substitutes and extracurricular driving ahead of the new school year. The motion was recorded as carried, and the new rates will apply for the 2025–26 school year.
