Comal County accepts $15,497 Edward Byrne JAG award for SWAT equipment

"In October, we submitted an application for the Edward Byrne grant, purchased slides, red dot optics, and holsters for our SWAT team. They approved our application, and we're here requesting acceptance of the money," Captain Smith said. Commissioners approved electronic acceptance of the $15,497 award.
The award will be accepted electronically and entered into the county's law enforcement equipment program fund; no additional local matching requirement was mentioned during the presentation.
