The Comal County Commissioners Court convened Dec. 19 and approved claims totaling $1,992,275.91 — EFTs of $313,855.14 and regular claims of $1,678,420.77 — during its opening business.
"EFTs, dollars 313,855.14. Dollars Regular claims, $1,678,420.77. For a total of $1,992,275.91," Commissioner Ecklestone stated when moving approval; the motion was seconded and carried. The court then advanced routine items and approvals through the action agenda with unanimous voice votes or without recorded opposition.
Beyond claims, commissioners approved a variety of ministerial actions: multiple line-item transfers to cover copier leases and psychiatric evaluations in county courts, transfers to cover jail maintenance agreements, pay for recycling overtime related to a final mulching, and a transfer to fund standby time for road-and-bridge callouts. The court also approved several reappointments and appointments to Emergency Services District boards and the Water Oriented Recreation District.
