The Rio School District Board of Trustees met in a special session March 12, 2026, at the district office in Oxnard. Board President Felix Eisenhauer called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. and Trustee Alesia Martin called the roll; Trustee Kristine Anderson was absent at roll call and arrived later at 6:10 p.m. The board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Trustee Felix Eisenhauer, seconded by Trustee Eleanor Torres. The motion carried with four 'yes' votes from Torres, Eisenhauer, Alesia Martin and Emmanuel Mejia; Trustee Kristine Anderson was recorded as not present at the vote.
Following the agenda approval, two members of the public — Dan Pinedo and Gerard Kapuscik — spoke during the public-comment period for items scheduled for the closed session. President Eisenhauer then adjourned the board into closed session at 6:08 p.m. to consider an agenda item listed as 'Public Discipline/Dismissal/Release.' The board reconvened in open session at 7:37 p.m.; President Eisenhauer reported there was no verbal report from closed session. The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m., and the board noted a future meeting on March 18, 2026.
