The executive director of finance (S13) presented the staff handbook updates and explained key clarifications to eligibility and reimbursement. "We stated that they were going to reimburse 50%. However, that 50% was limited to their actual costs and was also limited to the UNL education graduate course rates," S13 said, describing limits on the tuition-reimbursement program. The presenter also said the district updated benefit-eligibility language to require staff to work at least 20 hours per week to qualify for disability and life insurance benefits.
S13 said the college-credit reimbursement program will open on August 4 and noted the program filled quickly last year. The board moved and approved the staff handbook as presented.
