Scottsbluff students honored for state competitions, biliteracy seals and national qualifiers

Board members and staff used the May 12 meeting to recognize student accomplishments across multiple career and technical student organizations and contests. Margaret Hancock introduced middle‑school Stock Market Game participants who finished second in the state; other advisors highlighted DECA regional and state placings with several students qualifying for international competition, and ProStart culinary and management teams advancing to national contests.
Amanda Wilson and the world language team explained that six students earned the Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy (Spanish and English), with three achieving gold and three silver levels; the students will receive medals at senior academic awards. Advisors repeatedly thanked board support and attributed successes to teacher and community support.
