Dan presented a proposal from the West Bend Baseball Association to install a granite donor-recognition memorial at Carl Cusk Field in Regner Park, saying the association will fully fund design, fabrication and installation.
He described the proposed location (south of the grandstand) and the draft donor list to be engraved on the monument. Commissioners asked about size; Dan said the monument would be roughly 91 inches tall, about 28 inches thick and roughly 4 feet wide to accommodate the names.
Commissioners discussed siting so the memorial is visible to donors near the entrance rather than tucked behind the grandstand; the commission moved to approve the installation, and the motion carried by voice vote. Dan said the association anticipates installation by Aug. 31.
Staff will finalize footing and placement details with the association prior to installation.
