Council approves Christmas events: door-decorating contest and Breakfast with Santa

Council's Parks & Recreation update included a new fee schedule to be adopted with the 2026 fee schedule, and council approved accepting donated cans at Christmas events. Jen Dettinger reported that Economic Development has created a registration form and flyer for a door-decorating contest that will be open Nov. 17–Dec. 17, 2025; Mr. Heister moved to proceed with no cost to the borough and the motion carried.
Council also confirmed 'Breakfast with Santa' will be held on the first Saturday of December, 8–10 a.m. Ms. Lau asked how donations to Recreation are handled if donors designate them for a specific event; Solicitor Craley explained designations must be noted in the financials.
