Customer Service Supervisor Bridget Ortiz summarized the District’s American Water Works Association annual water audit required by Senate Bill 555 and the State Water Board’s water-loss standards. Ortiz said the standard set for the District was 20 gallons of real losses per connection per day and reported the District met that standard in 2023 and again in 2024 with 19.8 gallons per connection per day.
She noted the audit uses an AWWA software system and validator assistance; District staff will continue to monitor losses and maintain required reporting. There was public comment during the audit update but no action taken.
