The Commissioners Court approved several line-item transfers on Jan. 23 to address increased lease, maintenance and equipment costs for 2025.
The Auditor requested a transfer from office supplies to copier lease and maintenance to cover higher monthly costs, explaining the budget was adopted with an anticipated rate that changed after a renewal: "I did have a renewal in my office, and I need these additional funds." The court approved the transfer by motion.
Separately, staff reported that Dell workstation prices have increased "roughly a $112 per" unit and requested transfers from contingency and other accounts to departmental noncapital equipment lines so departments can complete computer purchases; the court approved that transfer. Another departmental request for transfers to cover lease and maintenance increases for 2025 was approved similarly. All three transfers were carried by voice vote.
