Comal County approved the 2025 Wellness Works incentive program and authorized the County Judge to sign a Catapult Health virtual checkup addendum for the 2025 plan year.
County staff member Jill Kimball presented the program, noting that the Wellness Committee — with support from the Texas Association of Counties — will move incentive tracking to WebMD: "We will be utilizing WebMD 1 to track all incentives, to also help employees stay more accountable for the programs that they do complete throughout the year." Kimball said the program retains most 2024 activities, adds local hearing and vision testing from a New Braunfels vendor, and supports the county's second annual health and wellness fair. The Catapult addendum allows employees to complete at-home assessments in lieu of in-person visits.
The court approved both items by motion. Staff reported participation above 10 percent in the prior year and said eligible participants were entered into an incentive drawing at the close of 2024.
