The Comal County Commissioners Court on Feb. 6 read and approved a proclamation recognizing February 2025 as Career and Technical Education Month, highlighting the role of career and technical programs in preparing students for high-skill, high-wage jobs.
After the proclamation was read, Rachel Benke, identified as CTE director for New Braunfels ISD, thanked the court: "We really are fortunate to have, post secondary business and industry support..." Renee Martinez, identified as a CTE director for Comal, also thanked the court and singled out the New Braunfels Chamber for partnership work. The court approved the proclamation on a motion by Commissioner Hogg and a second by Commissioner Crownover.
