Administration reports pension audit clean, animal-care fee and waste tip-fee rises noted

Cindy Barley reported several administrative and finance updates. She said an Eckert Seamans representative will contact Treasurer Amanda Runkle about a loan to repair roads, and that a pension audit for 2020–2024 was completed with no findings. Barley said the borough received a $697.48 safety grant from Susquehanna Municipal Trust and that Resolution 2025‑14 will designate Michelle Poole and Amanda Runkle as authorized officials to execute Local Share Grant documents.
Barley noted that the 2026 Animal Care and Housing agreement increased to $5,537 from $4,195 in 2025 and that the borough earned $11,105.01 in interest for September 2025. Separately, Mr. Musso reported York County will increase the 2026 tip fee for processible municipal solid waste by $85 per ton at the Resource Center; council asked when residents would receive information about the new garbage collection and staff said they will contact Anthracite for details. The next budget meeting was scheduled for Oct. 15 at 6 p.m.
