Recreation Chair Amy Lau reported results from the Dec. 6 Santa Breakfast: $605 collected, 44 free meals provided, 28 meals for ages 6–12 and 82 meals for ages 12 and older; expenses were $252.22 for a net of $352.78. Storytime with Santa was scheduled for Dec. 14 with about 50 registered; donated cookies were noted.
Council approved updates to the 2026 recreation fee schedule, eliminating percentage payments for food trucks and adjusting class fees. Council also approved proceeding with Fairmount Park planning using the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) recommendations; Councilmembers Brady Greer and Dennis Klinedinst voted no on that motion while other members supported moving forward. Staff will continue planning with DCNR guidance.
