Public Works reports $102,387.20 in water-line work; road loan list finalized

Public Works reported a set of near-term infrastructure items and costs. Dennis Klinedinst said the borough finalized a list of roads to include in a loan application and removed a requested speed hump on the 600 block of Wise Ave. He said he will inspect a request by Sean Cusack of 334 Atlantic Ave for a handicap parking space to see if one already exists.
Klinedinst reported that the Red Lion Municipal Authority paid $49,425.20 for an 8‑inch water-line extension on Vulcan Road and $52,962.00 for backhoe completion, for a combined total of $102,387.20. At Fairmont Park council asked why sealcoating had not been completed and why a railing had been removed; staff said the contractor removed damaged railing and that the contractor did not cause the damage attributed to removal.
