Rabbit Transit proposes bus ticket vending machine; council to vote Oct. 13

Trevor Manahan of Rabbit Transit told the Red Lion Borough work session that Rabbit Transit is proposing to install a ticket vending machine at the same location previously used for an IPS payment machine. He said Rabbit Transit will send an engineer to inspect electrical needs and ensure compliance and that "Rabbit Transit will cover all expenses for maintenance and damage," while the borough would be responsible only for providing electrical service.
Manahan said the route has seen more than 10,000 transactions year to date and asked council to review an agreement that would be placed on the Oct. 13, 2025 council meeting for a vote. Council members did not take a vote at the work session and were told the formal action will occur at the Oct. 13 meeting.
