The board approved a one‑year agreement with CivicLink to operate a centralized community calendar and outreach platform at a cost of $3,500 per year. Administrator Chris said the system will let the village, the Chamber of Commerce, the library and other partners post events to a single interface and push to social media, with village staff retaining final approval of entries.
“For the price point and for the value, we think this is worth trying,” Chris said, describing the expected efficiency gains from eliminating multiple duplicate postings across several sites. The village will provide approval oversight and the Chamber and library would have free access under the agreement; the Town of Rye’s participation could reduce the village’s price if it joins.
Trustees voted to approve the agreement and authorized execution of documents by the mayor, deputy mayor and administrator; staff will coordinate onboarding with partner organizations.
