The board approved an amendment to the village’s intermunicipal agreement with Westchester County that reflects an increase in the per‑ton tipping fee from $45.00 to $46.36 for municipal solid waste and recycling disposal under Refuse Disposal District No. 1.
Staff explained the county is increasing the per‑ton charge and that Ryebrook (sic) must accept an amendment to remain in the district. One trustee read the agenda line noting the “new tipping fee will be $46.36 from 45.” Trustees acknowledged the county remains the financially practical option compared with private disposal facilities, and noted an escalator formula in the county agreement.
The board voted to approve the amendment and authorized the mayor, deputy mayor and administrator to execute necessary documents.
