Heritage Pines CDD adopts amended FY2023/24 budget, adds $20,000 contingency

The Heritage Pines Community Development District Board adopted Resolution 2025‑02 on Dec. 10, 2024, amending the FY2023/2024 budget to reflect a major expenditure for a new lawnmower and to add columns showing “Actual” versus the “Adopted Budget” and proposed changes. District Manager Chuck Adams explained a $20,000 increase to the Operations and Maintenance — Contingencies line to cover potential additional journal entries; those funds will remain in surplus fund balance if unused.
Chair Kathleen Lonergan noted the district will receive a $1,298 refund from the Tax Collector’s Office related to the difference between actuals and the amended budget. On motion by Michael Walsh and seconded by Stephen Putman, the resolution was adopted with all in favor.
