The Maroa-Forsyth CUSD 2 School Board received informational reports on several administrative items during the July 28 meeting, including open positions, district strategic planning, a conflict in the regular second-Tuesday meeting calendar (noted as August 14), and e-learning updates. No motions were taken on those informational items.
Following the informational items the board voted to enter closed session. Board member Conway moved and Board member Parker seconded the motion to enter closed session under 5 ILCS 120(c)(10) to discuss possible litigation, appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees and student disciplinary cases. The roll-call vote carried 5-0.
The public minutes do not record what, if anything, resulted from closed session or whether any formal direction to staff was given. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. after the board completed its business.
