I'm still about $18,000 short," Tim said, adding that four homes currently would be served if the project is completed to the 6‑inch specification. Tim said he will talk with residents and attempt to raise the remaining funds locally but acknowledged the area is not wealthy and the shortfall is a constraint.
Committee members discussed whether Manchester City Water would accept a 4‑inch line; attendees said city officials had not been willing to change the specification at a prior meeting. The committee agreed to place the item on a 'hard list' to pursue closure before the next commission session and asked Tim to continue outreach to property owners and stakeholders.
