County accepts $202,263 Immunization Action Plan grant to boost vaccination outreach

Deputy Commissioner Lisa Lahiff previously noted that nursing staff had administered 35 vaccine-clinic patients through the end of February and that the department functions as a safety-net vaccinator for uninsured or underinsured residents. The grant acceptance funds public outreach, assessment and education to reduce vaccine-preventable disease.
