Commissioner Lacey Trimble told the Health and Mental Health Committee that a series of trainings and community events are scheduled this spring and fall, emphasizing both prevention and first-responder readiness. "Free Naloxone Training will be held on April 4th and May 2nd," Trimble said, and staff will offer Blue Bridge virtual training for law enforcement partners and supports for families and caregivers on April 9, 2026.
Trimble said the Threat Advisory Committee held a public launch with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as the lead and noted that the county’s Departments of Social Services and Mental Health are part of the core team. She also described a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services audit focus in New York State on certain Medicaid billable service codes, saying clinic auditing is strong but that significant audit findings elsewhere could lead to withheld funding. The presentation included routine corporate compliance reporting: in February 2026 staff completed one self-disclosure after returning two $10 payments when a client’s Medicaid coverage had expired.
