District staff reported a DIAC committee convened to review two elements of the school‑nurse educator evaluation rubric after a request from the nurse facilitator. Rachel Chikala said nurses and building representatives suggested changing language so that 'promoting wellness' captures non-classroom health instruction (bulletin boards, office-based instruction, cafeteria outreach) rather than implying nurses must teach whole-class lessons.
The committee also recommended expanding the list of people who collaborate on student medical plans. The previous rubric listed only 'teachers'; the revision adds administrators, CST and guidance as appropriate collaborators. Chikala said the committee made minor language edits to clarify the highly effective versus effective indicators, and the DIAC group agreed with the revisions.
